CogAT to be Administered to Sixth Grade Students at Albritton
The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) is administering a computer-based universal screening assessment, the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) Screener, to all sixth-grade students during the week of October 14.Â
The purpose of the assessment is to measure each child’s learned reasoning abilities developed through in-school and out-of-school experiences. This assessment is not designed to be a sole determinant of advanced academic services. The data obtained from the assessment will provide a deeper level of understanding of each child’s abilities.Â
Student learning and achievement are our highest priority. Parents, please contact the Advanced Academic Program and Services Resource Teacher, Dr. Belzic (christine.belzic@dodea.edu) or a school administrator with any questions you have regarding the CogAT.
