This year’s Fall Pep Rally was a celebration of athletic achievement and school pride. Students and faculty packed the gymnasium to cheer on the season’s athletes, who were recognized for their hard work and dedication in sports such as football, volleyball, girls' track, and boys' soccer. Each team received a round of applause as they were introduced. Coaches also recognized medalists and season successes, such as boys' soccer, which finished second in the conference, and girls' track, which won second at the division meet.

The pep rally was organized by Kelly Melvin, Christine Belzic, and the Albritton Student Council. Officer elections for the student council were held recently, and the winners were announced at the rally: Zoli T. was elected secretary, Joseph N. won vice president, and Richard N. is the 2025-2026 student council president.

But the rally wasn’t just about recognition—it was about competition and fun. Grade levels faced off in a spirited series of games designed to test teamwork and creativity. From hoop relays that had students racing across the floor to block-building challenges that demanded steady hands and quick thinking, the energy never dipped. The classic game of Simon Says kept everyone on their toes, and a variation of musical chairs ended in a photo-finish tie that was broken by a friendly round of Rock-Paper-Scissors. When the results were tallied, the spirit stick was awarded to the eighth-grade students.

Adding to the excitement was the staff's candy-eating competition, which had students cheering wildly as faculty members raced to finish the fruity, tape-like candy without using their hands. The event showcased the lighter side of school life, reminding everyone that teachers can be just as competitive as their students.

The rally concluded with three rounds of electrifying staff-student volleyball, where teachers and students squared off in friendly but fierce contests. The teams were closely matched, but the teachers edged out the students in the first two rounds. The students rallied to win the final match. Every spike and serve drew cheers from the onlookers, capping off a day that perfectly blended recognition, rivalry, and school spirit.

This year’s Fall Pep Rally wasn’t just an event—it was a celebration of what makes our school special: community, pride, and a whole lot of fun.
