After School Learning Center (ASLC)
The After School Learning Center (ASLC) can enrich your child’s life by helping them develop new skills, and by creating a safe place for them to grow academically. The ASLC program offers supervised educational activities from 3:15 – 4:00 p.m. on Monday and Thursday for students in grades 6-8. The ASLC offers a wide variety of educational benefits for your student(s). The ASLC offers a safe, stimulating environment with on-time transportation from the school available. Our goal is to develop a sense of belonging; this environment provides your child the chance to connect with new people. Students struggling at school academically or socially have another chance to feel like they belong and are accepted. The ASLC provides a safe and encouraging space for homework that is away from teachers and parents. Children learn to interact with others and have the opportunity to improve their social skills while collaborating with other students. The ASLC provides students the opportunity to work on homework, complete missing work, develop research skills, and improve study habits in a student centered environment. The Permission Form is also available from Ms. Dennis.
