In a recent meeting aimed at ensuring seamless education as students move from DoDEA Americas Fort Bragg schools to local high schools, Cumberland County Schools Superintendent Dr. Eric Bracy visited with Teresa Moon, community superintendent for the DoDEA Mid-Atlantic District, to discuss ways to strengthen ties and support students shifting from Fort Bragg's pre-K through eighth-grade programs.

The Nellie McCoy Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) at Albritton Middle School has once again demonstrated its commitment to service and community support by completing its third annual Necessity Drive—and this year was the most successful yet! Albritton NJHS collected approximately 1,675 items to help those in need.

Students in the Albritton Middle School STEAM Club are gaining hands-on experience in one of the world’s most critical and fast-growing fields: cybersecurity. Under the guidance of STEAM sponsor Karen Pozniak-Robins, Albritton’s newly formed CyberPatriot team is competing in the Air & Space Forces Association’s national CyberPatriot program, the largest youth cybersecurity competition in the world. This year, the team is competing against 427 middle school teams nationwide as they work to advance through multiple rounds toward the national finals.

The Albritton PTSA has lots of fun events lined up for our students and families this fall, beginning with a book fair from September 29-October 3 during school hours. Parents can shop the book fair at Curriculum Night after school on Wednesday or shop online.

At the Quarter 1 Albritton Awards Ceremonies, students received certificates for All "A" Honor Roll and A/B Honor Roll. Each teacher also recognized two students in each class, one for Academic Achievement and one for Most Improved.

This year’s Fall Pep Rally was a celebration of athletic achievement and school pride. The pep rally recognized fall athletes, held games as a spirit competition between grade levels, and included staff-student volleyball matches.

Many parents and students participated in fun and educational activities at Albritton's 2025 Family Curriculum Night on November 18th from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. There were many stations to visit, including content-specific information, club demonstrations, literacy strategies, and digital citizenship for families. The Albritton PTSA and community partners were on campus to support our Bulldog families.

DoDEA requires the flu shot annually with a deadline of December 1st each year, or the submission of a signed immunization waiver. Immunization waivers must be obtained at the school and must be renewed annually.

Mrs. Jurgel's 7th Grade Science classes engaged in a lab that modeled a cell membrane and how some materials are able to pass through the membrane, but not others. Students are learning about the semi-permeability of a cell membrane, and this lab shows them this concept in action.
