National Junior Honor Society (NJHS)
Current NJHS members--check your email regularly for important information. We meet on scheduled Mondays in the cafeteria.
NJHS members work to maintain their 3.5 GPA and continue to show excellence in the areas of Character, Citizenship, Service and Leadership throughout the school year. In the area of service, they must participate in 10 individual volunteer hours in addition to the group yearly projects. In the area of leadership, they will plan and implement projects to encourage the student body to get involved. They also have opportunities within the group projects to be leaders and show great citizenship and character. In the area of citizenship and character, they must also set a great example by following the school rules and procedures at all times.
NJHS inducts new members in the spring. If you are interested in joining, keep your grades up, participate in school activities, volunteer when you can, and follow school rules. If you are new to Albritton, and you were a member of NJHS at your former school, please see Ms. Vassey in room E-11 to find out how to move your membership to the Albritton chapter. Specific rules for becoming a member of the Nellie McCoy Chapter of NJHS are outlined in the Chapter By-Laws, which are viewable by clicking on the word "Flyer."
Open to: Meet the following requirements by the end of the first semester: 3.5 GPA beginning in 6th grade and excellence in the areas of Character, Citizenship, Service and Leadership (see the By-Laws for more information).
