Albritton Middle School hosted a new student orientation Friday, August 9, 2024. As families flowed into the Albritton Gym, there was soon standing room only. Principal Kaawa Fulton introduced staff members and welcomed families and community partners while additional chairs were located. She stressed that education is a partnership between teachers and families and asked parents to complete a feedback questionnaire at https://forms.gle/rS6HuPVebRQSjX2fA as they visited with the Albritton PTSA, Army School Services, Tolson Youth Center, and Transportation Services.

Utilizing a presentation format, Ms. Fulton, assistant principal Thelberstine Barbee, counselor Jade Holley, school nurse Donna Lopez, administrative officer Stuart Wheeless, support specialist George Negron, educational technologist Dena Vassey, and administrative assistant Robin McDonald shared school procedures and policies with new students and their families. Attendees learned about transportation, nutrition, extracurricular activities, sports physicals, student technology, dress code, and much more. Ms. Fulton shared the DoDEA mission and vision and expectations for Albritton students, which are centered around the acronym "P.R.I.D.E." She elicited crowd participation while teaching families the Albritton motto: "Bulldog PRIDE starts inside, and it starts with YOU!"

After the presentation, families were divided into groups by grade level. Various staff members took the groups on guided tours of the facility. The new student orientation was originally planned as two sessions on the previous day, but it had to be rescheduled due to inclement weather. Students begin school on Monday, August 19, 2024. An open house for all families is scheduled for August 21, 2024 from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
