Army STEM Programs Available for Youth

Middle and high school students have the opportunity to spend a week this summer living as a military recruit while learning science, technology, engineering, and math skills at the 2025 West Point Summer STEM Workshop.
Founded in 1778, West Point is the oldest continuously open Garrison Military Post in the United States. The USMA STEM Workshop is run by the Center for Leadership and Diversity in STEM. According to materials provided for participants, they plan to have “Cadet and Faculty led modules across a wide range of academic disciplines including Data Analytics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Psychology, Environmental Science, Civil and Mechanical Engineering, and Chemistry and Life Science.” Each week of camp (middle and high) hosts about 120 students.
At least three Albritton-connected students have attended the USMA STEM Workshop in the past: current eighth-grader Ava R. attended the middle school camp in 2024, Ms. Vassey's son, Kamran A., attended the high school session last year, and a former Bulldog, Grace S., also attended the high school session. All three raved about the experience. What are you waiting for? Apply to West Point today!
