Albritton Middle School recently hosted a memorable Family Night, bringing together students, parents, and staff for an evening of fun and community bonding. The event, held on March 12, featured a variety of activities designed to engage and entertain attendees of all ages.

One of the highlights of the night was the book fair, located in the information center, where students and families had the opportunity to explore and purchase a wide range of books, stationery, and other items. This provided a great chance for everyone to discover new reads and support the school's literacy initiatives. The book fair was sponsored by the Albritton PTSA, who was also selling spirit wear.

The AVID spin-the-wheel session, also housed in the information center, was a hit, challenging participants with questions related to real-life school situations, such as “What would you do if you lost your homework?” It was a fantastic way to showcase the maturity and learning goals of the students involved in AVID. There was also a table with information about the upcoming accreditation session with COGNIA available in the information center.

The hallways were also busy with activities, including a photo booth allowing families to capture fun memories with a themed backdrop, a roaming Bulldog mascot, tables laden with items for a silent auction to support the National Junior Honor Society, and concessions, including fresh popcorn and cotton candy, for sale.

In the gym, Thunderball was a major attraction for students and parents alike. Students created teams in advance, and some teams showed their dedication to the event by wearing matching-colored shirts or jerseys emblazoned with their team’s name. After several rounds of this energetic and thrilling activity, showcasing their skills and teamwork, three teams were deemed winners: Benchwarmers, Rizzlers of Oz, and Money Works. Congratulations to all the students who participated in Thunderball. Thunderball is a fundraiser for the Physical Education department.

Overall, Albritton Middle School's Family Night was a resounding success, fostering a sense of community and providing a fun-filled evening for all who attended. The event highlighted the school's commitment to creating engaging experiences for its students and their families.
