We'll Miss You, Sunshine!
Albritton says Farewell to Robin McDonald.

For over sixteen years, whenever parents and visitors entered the front office of Albritton Middle School, they have become accustomed to being greeted with, “Hello, Sunshine!” The school’s longtime administrative assistant, Robin McDonald, has become known for her friendly greeting and warm demeanor. Alas, the school recently had to say, “Goodbye, Sunshine!” to Mrs. McDonald, as she has accepted a new position at the Mid-Atlantic District Community Superintendent’s Office. On her last day at Albritton, staff members decorated Mrs. McDonald’s office and treated her to breakfast and lunch. At the end of the day, they tricked her into coming to the gym, where the entire student body was waiting with a signed banner, video farewell, and extra gifts from the Albritton staff and Albritton PTSA. Her son, Dante Steel, was also in attendance. Everyone at Albritton is happy for Mrs. McDonald, but we are sad for ourselves as she will be dearly missed. Fortunately, she has not gone far, and we will be able to see her occasionally at the CSO. Instead of “Goodbye,” it should be, “See you soon, Sunshine!”
Mrs. McDonald recently shared these words about her time at Albritton, "Hello Sunshine's, Thank you for the amazing farewell/sendoff as I begin the next chapter of my career. I am so blessed to know every one of you past and present. Over the years Albritton JH/MS staff and students have helped shape me into the person I am today, and I am forever thankful I had the experience of working there. I will forever have Bulldog Pride! Be Blessed and Spread Sunshine always."
