Winter Whimsy Story Contest Guidelines

We invite all students at Albritton MS to participate in our Winter
Story Contest! You have the creative freedom to craft a winterthemed
story that may include snowy landscapes, mysterious
phenomena, or even elements of suspense or realism. The direction
your story takes is entirely up to you.

Submission Rules:
Due: Dec. 20th, 2024
Length: Your story should not exceed 3 pages.
Original Work: All submissions must be original and written in
English. Plagiarism, including the use of third-party poetry, song
lyrics, characters, or any other person's universe without written
permission, will lead to disqualification.
Content Guidelines: Entries containing excessive violence or
inappropriate content, as determined by the judges, will be
disqualified.
Submission Format: Please submit your entry electronically in a
Google Doc to Mrs. Davis at melissa.davis@student.dodea.edu.
Manuscript Limit: Each student may submit only one manuscript.
Previously submitted manuscripts for to any AMS writing contests
are not eligible.
Judging Process: Submissions will be evaluated by library staff and
other qualified individuals. The top three entries will be picked as the
winners.
Review Process: Each submission will be read by at least two
reviewers, and evaluations will be based on the provided rubric.
