School Excellence Report
Albritton MS 2022 - 2023
DoDEA's School Excellence Reports provide stakeholders with an annual snapshot about each DoDEA school, including demographics and academic performance data. DoDEA, a Federally-operated school system, is globally positioned in Europe, the Pacific and the Americas, operating 160 schools in 8 districts located in 11 foreign countries, 7 states, Guam, and Puerto Rico.
We proudly showcase achievements such as National Blue Ribbon recognition for outstanding academic performance, U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon for innovative environmental practices, the Cognia System of Distinction award for exceptional service, and inclusion in the Advanced Placement School Honor Roll for advancing students through impactful Advanced Placement programs.
If Albritton MS has received any of these recognitions for SY 2022 - 2023, it will appear below.
Accreditation is pivotal to leveraging education quality and continuous improvement. Using a set of rigorous research-based standards, the accreditation process examines the whole institution--the program, the cultural context and the community of stakeholders to determine how well the parts work together to meet the needs of learners. Through the Cognia accreditation process, highly skilled and trained Engagement Review Teams gather first-hand evidence and information pertinent to evaluating an institution's performance against the research-based Cognia Performance Standards.
Once a DoDEA district is accredited, it engages in continuous improvement activities and goes through a Cognia review every five years to maintain accreditation. All of DoDEA’s eight districts are currently accredited by Cognia.

National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP)
The National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), often called The Nation’s Report Card, is the largest nationally representative and continuing assessment of what students in public and private schools in the United States know and are able to do in various subjects. NAEP results are reported for the nation and are broken down by state. DoDEA is considered a “state” for the purposes of NAEP reporting. The assessment is given every other year. All 4th and 8th grade DoDEA students take the NAEP in mathematics and reading.
